Daniel Edmonds is a holistic musician in the true sense of the word. A dazzling pianist, musical director, arranger and composer, he is able to access a vast musical melting pot of genres including jazz, pop, music for the theatre, latin, funk, classical and film music. And as Musical Director to Caroline O'Connor and Simon Burke, Daniel has worked on concerts, recordings and theatrical shows both in Australia and internationally.

Daniel will head to London in September and October to take the musical reigns for Caroline O'Connor's brand new show Caroline O'Connor: The Showgirl Within. It will play the Garrick Theatre on London's West End. As Musical Director and Arranger, Daniel will weave together the songs of Caroline's many years of stage and screen experience, incorporating show tunes and other classics that have featured in her career to date. Caroline O'Connor: The Showgirl Within is directed by Michael Gracey and choreographed by Ashley Wallen, who between them have worked with pop stars including Will Young, Alesha Dixon, Kylie Minogue and the Sugababes. |
| Daniel at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival
Daniel was thrilled to be part of Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2010. He appeared as Caroline O'Connor's Musical Director and Arranger at both the opening gala performance, televised by Foxtel, and for her sold out shows Caroline O'Connor: A Musical Life. Daniel also kicked off the gala opening playing for Trevor Ashley as "Liza on an E".
Bryce Hallet of the Sydney Morning Herald writes: "O'Connor's dramatic Moulin Rouge turn at the opening featured a strident theatricalisation of Roxanne, finely arranged by musical director Daniel Edmonds".
| Daniel debuts in New York with Caroline O'Connor
Daniel made his New York debut at the famed Birdland jazz club as Caroline O'Connor's Musical Director/Arranger. The Girl From Oz: An Evening with Caroline O'Connor played to a capacity crowd, and a second encore performance was added due to overwhelming demand.
| Daniel joins the national tour of Fame as Assistant Musical Director
Daniel is thrilled to have been appointed the Assistant Musical Director for the upcoming Australia tour of Fame: The Musical. Directed and Choreographed by Kelley Abbey, the show will open at Melbourne's Regent Theatre in April.

Daniel recently worked on Simon Burke's debut album Something About Always as Musical Director, Arranger and Producer. It's an intimate recording that lets you get to know Simon's rich, powerful and emotive voice, and features two very special guest stars: Connie Fisher and Caroline O'Connor.

Daniel was a featured piano soloist and arranger with Nathan Brake and the Sydney International Orchestra at the World Aids Day charity concert in Sydney.

We're very excited to announce Walking With Lions, the debut jazz album from Daniel Edmonds. It features fresh, inventive jazz realisations of standards and some surprising musical gems.
Recorded with some of the finest musicians in the country, the album features: Daniel Edmonds (piano, keyboards, vocals), Brendan Clarke (bass), Toby Hall (drums), Con Campbell (tenor) with special guests Fiona Sullivan (vocals) and Barrie Shaw (soprano sax).
